The short answer
What a home in Feather Sound costs right now
Feather Sound is two markets in one. Most of what sells is condos and townhomes, and the median sale in Stellar MLS data this month is about $255,000. The single-family homes around Feather Sound Country Club are a much smaller and much more expensive market, with only a few sales at a time, so pricing them takes judgment, not a median.
Market snapshot
Feather Sound by home type
Stellar MLS data as of October 2026, rounded. Single-family sales are too few for a reliable median, so ask me for the latest sales near any home you are watching.
| Home type | Where | Recent prices | How it behaves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Condos | Audubon, The Club at Feather Sound and other buildings | mostly $130K to $250K | Most of the activity. Recent sales have taken three to four months. |
| Townhomes and villas | Around the course and along Feather Sound Drive | ask me | Fewer sales. Condition and the HOA drive the price. |
| Single-family homes | On and near the Feather Sound Country Club course | up to $1M and above | A handful at a time. Every one gets priced on its own. |

Buying in Feather Sound
Know which Feather Sound you are buying

What I check before you fall in love
- For condos: the milestone inspection, reserve study and any special assessment coming
- The flood zone and elevation, since it sits on Old Tampa Bay
- Roof age, wind mitigation and a real insurance quote
- HOA fees and the rules on rentals and pets
- Whether club membership is available, if golf matters to you
Living in Feather Sound
One bridge from Westshore
Feather Sound sits on Old Tampa Bay at the Pinellas end of the Howard Frankland. Westshore and Tampa International are across the bridge, St. Pete-Clearwater International is next door, and the beaches are a straight run west. Most of it was built in the 1970s and 1980s around Feather Sound Country Club, which is why it feels settled and quieter than the newer master-planned communities across the bay.
Selling in Feather Sound
Call me before you do anything
In a condo building, the last few sales in your building set the bar, and buyers now read the reserve study as closely as the listing. On the golf course there may only be a few comparable sales in a year, so the comps have to be chosen with care. Either way, I’ll walk it with you, tell you what’s worth fixing and what isn’t, and show you the math before you spend a dollar.
Questions
What people ask me about Feather Sound
Is Feather Sound in Clearwater or St. Petersburg?
Feather Sound has a Clearwater mailing address, zip code 33762, and sits in mid-Pinellas on Old Tampa Bay, between Clearwater and St. Petersburg and right at the Pinellas end of the Howard Frankland.
What do homes in Feather Sound cost?
It depends on the type. Condos make up most of the sales, and recent condo sales have mostly landed between about $130,000 and $250,000. Single-family homes around the country club sell far less often and for far more, some above $1 million.
Is Feather Sound Country Club private?
Yes. It is a private club with an 18-hole Joe Lee course that opened in 1978. Living in Feather Sound does not make you a member, so if the club matters to you, ask me about membership before you buy.
How far is Feather Sound from Tampa?
It is one bridge away. The Howard Frankland takes you straight to Westshore and Tampa International, and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is next door.
What should condo buyers in Feather Sound check?
Most of Feather Sound was built in the 1970s and 1980s, so I look at the building’s milestone inspection, the reserve study, any special assessments coming, the insurance, and the rules on rentals and pets before you write an offer.
Is Feather Sound in a flood zone?
Parts of it are, because it sits on Old Tampa Bay. I pull the flood zone and elevation for the exact address, along with a real insurance quote, before you commit.
